What is the difference between spirulina and chlorella?
Spirulina and chlorella both compliment each other very well, and it is absolutely beneficial to take both. They are two different species of algae so their nutrient content and various health properties differ. It is similar to the importance of eating both spinach and kale. Spirulina is more nutrient dense; we often consider it mother nature’s vitamin whereas chlorella is extremely good for detoxification and cellular health. Both have similar benefits such as cardiovascular health, anti-aging, etc… But taking both in no way is overkill. They complement each other.
